Ahead of Monday's pivotal Game 4 against the Utah Mammoth, the Vegas Golden Knights made a couple of call-ups. They tapped into their newfound Henderson Silver Knights depth and called up Trevor Connelly and Braeden Bowman. These two have been cornerstones for a successful Silver Knights team this season. How, you ask?

Well, Golden Knights fans know plenty about Bowman since he spent 54 games with Vegas this season. Here, he scored eight goals and 18 assists, marking a successful campaign for the undrafted rookie. As for his Henderson stint, he has 12 goals and 14 assists in 20 games. That's enough to bolster a solid Silver Knights attack and get them to the second round of the Calder Cup playoffs.

As for Connelly, he has 14 goals and 35 assists in 46 games with the Silver Knights in 2025-26. He didn't play a regular season game for the Golden Knights prior to Sunday's news. However, there's a catch to this.

Both Silver Knights players weren't in the morning skate line rushes for Sunday's practice. It was the usual suspects in the lineup for Vegas as they prepped for Game 4 on Monday. If either player goes into the lineup, a veteran must be healthy-scratched.

The Golden Knights know what they'll get with Braeden Bowman. They're getting a smart offensive player who knows how to position himself within the Golden Knights offense. Connelly might not have the NHL pedigree that Bowman has. However, he does have the offensive repertroire to do serious damage.

Regardless, the Golden Knights are preparing themselves in case things get dicey in their first round series. The hits have been at an all-time high against the Mammoth, with both sides playing extra chippy. Why not add some youth to the mix and get the team going?
